Welcome to the Official Internet Website of the Tourism Agency of Barbian/Barbiano!
A village with a sunny location in the southern Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley, embedded in fertile cultural landscape. The area stretches from the bottom of the valley up to the Rittner Horn mountain (2,260 meters), one of the most beautiful lookout points in Südtirol/Alto Adige. Every nature loving person and hiker can experience something they enjoy, on well-marked and varied trails.
Barbian/Barbiano - Town with a leaning tower
The Mediterranean flair of Barbian/Barbiano starts with its leaning church tower – which is apparently even more slanted than the famed Leaning Tower of Pisa. But your vacation pleasure here will still be on the straight and narrow: Here, in the sunny mid-altitude foothills (830 meters above sea-level,) the conditions are perfect for exciting holiday experiences.
